Kubo Won't Let Me Be Invisible
2023 · Animation, Comedy · 1 Season · 12 Episodes ·
First year high schooler Junta Shiraishi is a mob character who goes unnoticed even when he's standing right next to you. But his classmate, "heroine-level beauty" Kubo, always notices him and is there to tease him. Anyone can become special to someone, but it might be a little too early to call these feelings "love." Perhaps this story is still two-steps from being a romantic comedy--let's call it a sweet comedy where a background character becomes visible!
Episodes
1. Heroine and Background CharacterJunta may be a living NPC, but Kubo’s dare just turned him into the momentary main character! But if he’s the hero, what does that make her?
2. Bad Luck and Home VisitKubo wants to stop by Junta’s house and borrow a manga volume. That’s definitely the only reason she wants to know where he lives. No other reason at all…
3. The Nobody's GiftJunta knows he's invisible to others, so no one will notice if he peeks at a certain magazine, right? Unfortunately, the store clerk can see him just as easily as Kubo can.
4. Red Heart and Secret AdmirerIt’s Valentine’s Day for his classmates, but an ordinary Monday for Junta. Except someone left sweets at his desk. It must have been an accident; it’s the only explanation!
5. White Day and a Destination for FeelingsA question from a friend causes Kubo to realize something: what does she know about Junta, anyway?
6. Nurse's Office and Main CharacterAnother person notices Junta's presence, and Junta slowly feels like a main character.
7. Sleepover and Next School YearThey all may be in separate classes next year, so it’s important to spend time with each other now while they still can. And that means umbrella experiments and sleepovers.
8. Picnic and MiscommunicationAs the cherry blossoms bloom, Kubo and her sisters plan a picnic. They invite Junta and his little brother, but there are a few hiccups along the way.
9. New School Year and Class ChangeJunta doesn’t foresee any changes during the new school year, especially since he and Kubo are in the same class again. There is one difference, though: a potential new friend.
10. Comparing Heights and Wall PinSometimes, it’s the little things that make one look forward to tomorrow.
11. Movie Theater and Facial MusclesJunta’s simple plan to see a movie turns into something more when Kubo invites herself along.
12. Starring Role and GiftIn what ways has Junta’s life changed for the better? Regardless of the answer, it’s all thanks to Kubo.
